Due to an ever growing generation gap, it can be hard for adults to communicate and relate with children. This is why Elite is organized and run by college students. Young adults (19-29) in today’s society are primarily influenced by older adults (30+) in high positions; however, there is often a disconnect between adolescents (10-18) and older adults. This disconnect may not be easily understood, but is clearly visible.Through small group sessions (1-2 hr), Elite mentors youth; thus, allowing them to become aware of their personal talents/ skills and their future potential. We help them notice the possible downfalls they may encounter, but we also ensure them with the support and encouragement that is needed to overcome them. We allow the youth to discuss their experiences and culture with young adults who they can directly relate to. In addition to our mentoring, we promote educational advancement (ultimately college) through activities that will allow youth to develop their social, ethical, and personal skills while still embracing their talents. The Elite Club is a group of role models, advisors, and ultimately a youthful/ relatable support system.

We are a diverse team of individuals with different roles who work together to develop youth and redefine “cool.” We also appreciate style because it to helps us raise funds for our youth project, but it also is one of the ways we connect with the youth we work with. Lastly, the Elite club is a creative platform to express one’s self through expression, writing, photography, videography, music, style and more.
