Manny: The whole persona that comes with the sneaks can enhance a persons style and instills confidence just by wearing them. The love for Jordan retros has been deep in my heart since I was a baby with the white/black true red eights or when I was a youngster playing in gym class with the metallic/silver jordan ones on. The anticipation also warms my blood just having to wait outside for 2 hours just so the store can let you get a touch of greatness. Time after time I’ve been told “save your money stop buying sneakers” but if there Jordans involved I’ll never listen!
Albert: Growing up I collected jordan sneakers as if they were baseball cards! I cherished each pair. However, when I was younger I can remember seeing my peers come to school with the latest Jordans and me telling my Dad, “ Those are the ones I want!” and him responding saying “And who do you think is going to pay for them?” Those words motivated me to earn my own money so I could purchase the things that I desired. So in middle school I started my own business utilizing my ability to paint in a way that allowed me to earn money to support my love for Retro Jordans. Although, my style and way of dressing has matured over time, I do feel Jordans authentically represent a part of my personality, a period in my life, and my appreciation for the game of basketball.
